We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead daily installation floor operations in our emergency vehicle service and upfitting shop. This role is responsible for supervising technicians, coordinating workflow, and ensuring all emergency vehicles (police, fire, EMS) are maintained, repaired, and equipped to the highest safety and performance standards.

Typical Schedule is Monday-Thursday 6 am-430 pm (10hrs)

Attributes of a Strong Candidate
- 3+ years of experience in automotive, fleet, or emergency vehicle service
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, and vehicle upfitting
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Knowledge of programming for Whelen and Federal Signal – preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with police, fire, or EMS vehicle equipment installation
- Familiarity with fleet management systems
- Supervise and support a team of technicians working on emergency vehicles
- Assign daily tasks, prioritize workloads, and monitor job progress
- Oversee installation or repair of emergency lighting, sirens, radios, and other specialized equipment
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain inventory of parts and equipment, including assisting in the receiving of new products promptly
- Coordinate with management on scheduling, deadlines, and shop performance
- Train and mentor staff to improve skills and efficiency
- Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
- Enforce organization and cleanliness of install area
- Covering Friday shift as needed at the manager's request (Covering a Friday shift will give you the option to take a day off Monday-Thursday)
